DCLM Daily Manna, Thursday July 23, 2015 by Pastor Kumuyi – An Angel Of God

Topic: An Angel Of God [Thursday July 23, 2015]

Text: Judges 13:15-25

Key Verse: “For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground” (Judges 13:20).

A teacher was explaining to her class the words concerning God’s angels, which she called “ministers of His who do His pleasure”. She asked, “How do angels carry out God’s will?” Many answers followed. One said, “They do it directly”. Another said, “They do it with all their hearts”. A third said, “They do it well”. And after a pause, a little girl added, “They do it without asking any questions”.

Memorise: But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. - Mathew 24:13

Read: Hebrews 12:1-3 (KJV)

1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Pastor Faith Oyedepo: Wednesday July 22, 2015 Daily Devotional – Faithfulness in Stewardship

Topic: Faithfulness in Stewardship [Wednesday July 22, 2015]

“Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”-1 Corinthians 4:2

There is a story about a hunting dog that had been with his master for years. The dog had been trained to search for bush animals, kill them and bring it home, and he was faithful to it. On a daily basis, without been instructed, he would go to the woods, find a kill, bring it home and stay with it till his master returned. The master therefore grew so fond of that dog because of its faithful stewardship. It was treated specially and never lacked attention from his owner.

Text: Leviticus 11:1-12

Key Verse: “And the LORD spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth” (Leviticus 11:1,2).

Some Christians ignorantly think that there is a limit to what the word of God demands over their lives. While it is okay for the word of God to regulate how they conduct their spiritual lives, they feel that it is none of God’s business to be concerned with the way they choose to conduct their day-to day physical lives. What has God got to do with what they put on, what they eat, where they go, who they associate with, etc.? They sometimes wonder aloud. In their misunderstanding of what they call Christian liberty and grace, they allow whatever they like in their lives. Of course, such people are never known to be able to live victorious lives.

Pastor Faith Oyedepo: Tuesday July 21, 2015 Daily Devotional – Steps to marriage (1)

Topic: Steps to marriage (1) [Tuesday July 21, 2015]

“Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.”-Proverbs 18:1

Marriage is honourable; it is not a thing you should be ashamed of. There are blessings and favours attached to it, hence the desire of most singles to get into it. Marriage by God’s standard is good, and it is designed to help you accomplish more than you would have, if you remained single.

DCLM Daily Manna, Tuesday July 21, 2015 by Pastor Kumuyi – Getting It Right From The Root

Topic: Getting It Right From The Root [Tuesday July 21, 2015]

Text: Ephesians 2:10-22

Key Verse: “And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone” (Ephesians 2:20).

The dynamics of erecting an enduring structure in ancient times required a start with what builders called an alignment stone for the foundation. The stone lay at an extreme corner to set the parameters
for a strong base. This angle of the cornerstone was very precise, determining all of the subsequent lines and other angles of the building. It became a standard for the bearing of the beams and walls in the construction of the whole work. In other words, the strength and durability of the building derived from the alignment stone known in modern times as the cornerstone.

Kemi Oyedepo: Living Life By Subtraction

Author: Kemi Oyedepo
One of the greatest things I have learnt in my short time on earth is that time waits for no man or woman.  If you choose to hang around doing nothing, letting years pass you by, your results would be just that – nothing!

While that statement is true for everyone, I think ladies should be more conscious about it because of the different phases we have to go through in life. I would try not to bore you with this but I believe that you would be blessed by it.

DCLM Daily Manna, Monday July 20, 2015 by Pastor Kumuyi – Obedience Is Key

Topic: Obedience Is Key [Monday July 20, 2015]

Text: Exodus 16:22-31

Key Verse: “And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning” (Exodus 16:23).

The children of Israel had been in and out of troubles. They had experienced God’s readiness to protect, deliver and provide. He had never disappointed them, not once. Yet, they never failed to fear each time trouble came their way.
