Kenneth Copeland’s daily devotional September 27, 2016 - Spiritual Armor for Spiritual War
Topic: Spiritual Armor for Spiritual War [September 27, 2016]
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. - Ephesians 6:12
Unfortunately most of us don’t know the first thing about fighting the kind of war this scripture refers to. For, as Ephesians 6:10-12 says, it’s not a battle of flesh and blood, but of the spirit.
Billy Graham’s daily devotional September 27, 2016 - The Holy Spirit
Topic: The Holy Spirit [September 27, 2016]
Your body is the home of the Holy Spirit . . . – 1 Corinthians 6:19 (TLB)
Who is the Holy Spirit? He is God, just as God the Father and God the Son are also God. We speak of them as the Trinity. You ask me to explain the Trinity. Our minds can but dimly grasp these great spiritual facts, because we are finite and God is infinite.
Our Daily Bread devotional, September 27, 2016 - True Riches
Topic: True Riches [September 27, 2016]
Read: Luke 12:22–34, Bible in a Year: Isaiah 3–4; Galatians 6
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Luke 12:34
At the memorial service for my friend’s dad, someone said to her, “Until I met your father, I didn’t know a person could have fun while helping others.” Her dad contributed his part in helping to build the kingdom of God through serving people, laughing and loving, and meeting strangers who became friends. When he died, he left a legacy of love. In contrast, my friend’s aunt—her father’s older sister—viewed her possessions as her legacy, spending her latter years worrying about who would protect her heirlooms and rare books.
DCLM Daily Manna September 27, 2016 by Pastor Kumuyi - That Which Is Within
Topic: That Which Is Within [September 27, 2016]
Text: Mark 7:24-30
Key Verse: "All these evil things come from within, and defile the man" (Mark 7:23).
Humans have the tendency to make assessment and conclusions about events, actions and personalities from what they can see from outside. Little wonder many people put up the best in their outward actions. But the passage today challenges us to probe further inside, to look beyond the outward show and demonstration of outward actions.

Joel and Victoria Osteen’s daily devotional September 26, 2016 – Handfuls on Purpose
Today’s Scripture: “And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God.” - (Deuteronomy 28:2, ESV)
Topic: Handfuls on Purpose [September 26, 2016]
Our God is a rewarder of those who seek Him! When you keep God first place and do your best to honor Him, scripture says, “His blessings will chase you down and overtake you.” That means you will come into increase, promotion and good breaks that you didn’t necessarily deserve. That’s God rewarding you for walking in His ways.

Change beyond the slogan
Written by the Editorial Board of The Guardian Newspaper
The public excitement that should have greeted the launch the other day of a critical segment of the promise of ‘change’ by the Muhammadu Buhari’s administration may have been adversely affected by a shocking discovery that part of the pitching speech by the president contained some lines from a 2008 speech of the American president, Barack Obama. But, there is no denying the fact that such a campaign is needed both substantially to make Nigerians and Nigeria better, but also symbolically, to advertise the way forward.
Do It As Unto The Lord

And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. Luke 6:33. Lk 6:30-34
It's natural for man to expect reward from a fellow man after a kind gesture. Even Jesus who gave the golden rule said in Luke 6:31, And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. As a result, many do things for others expecting such people to reward them in return and when such reward is not forthcoming, you hear things like, "If not for me that helped him/her, he/she wouldn't have been able to get to that height". But now, to even greet me is a problem let alone to reward me. Giving to man and expecting such person to reward you is not given as unto the Lord but unto self. Such fellow usually end up being disappointed. Your giving must be as unto the Lord before it can be adequately rewarded by God and man.
Joyce Meyer's daily devotional September 26, 2016 – God Hears the Consistently Righteous
Topic: God Hears the Consistently Righteous [September 26, 2016]
The Lord…hears the prayer of the [consistently] righteous (the upright, in right standing with Him). - Proverbs 15:29
God promises in today’s verse that He will hear our prayers if we seek to be faithful in our walk with Him. What does it mean to be “consistently righteous”? Simply put, I think the best way to be consistently righteous is to refuse to compromise.

Building Your Home With The Word of God (4) by Pastor Faith Oyedepo

| Author: Pastor Faith Oyedepo |
Dear Reader,
So far, we’ve been looking at the topic, Building Your Home with the Word of God. Two weeks ago we saw from God’s Word that the reason for marital failure in peoples’ family is hardness of heart. So, if you desire to build your home with the Word of God, put hardness of heart far away from you. God’s Word says: And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? …Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.…Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept (Mark 10:2-5).
Winning Wisdom: His Ever Present Presence

| By Ese Ehimare Dave |
Text: John 14: 15-17
One of the things we enjoy as New Testament believer is the presence of God, manifested in us through the Holy Spirit. The presence of God has been desired by men of old. From Moses who wanted to see God and employed Him not to take His presence from the camp to the Israelites, to King David who knew that God was omnipresent and was full of joy going to the house of the Lord. But today, what men of old sought then, has been given to us as a gift.
