President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Justice Ejembi Eko and Justice Amina A. Augie for the Supreme Court of Nigeria on the recommendation of the National Judicial Council.
A statement by Soji Oye, acting Director of Information for the NJC, said the two justices will be sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of the National Judicial Council, Mahmud Mohammed, on Monday at 2.00 p.m. in the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
The president had on October 11 requested the Senate to consider and confirm the nominations of two judges as Justices of the Supreme Court.
The nominated judges were Sidi Bage, Nasarawa State, North Central; and Paul Jauro, Taraba State, North East.
