Pastor Faith Oyedepo: Monday November 30, 2015 Daily Devotional – Give Him Some Space
Topic: Give Him Some Space [Monday 30 November, 2015]
“For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.” -Ephesians 5:23
Every organisation usually has a leadership chain. When it is broken by an employee, it mostly comes with grave consequences. Similarly in the family system, there is a chain of leadership placed by God for the smooth running of the home. It would be satanic for anyone to question the leadership role given to the man. God expects that just as the Church is subject to Jesus as the Head of the Church, the wife should be subject to the man as the head of the home.
DCLM Daily Manna, Monday November 30, 2015 by Pastor Kumuyi – The Great Banquet
Text: Revelation 19:6-10
Key Verse: "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God" (REVELATION 19:7,9).
He had scrupulously hatched a plot to have a group of people completely exterminated. He must have felt convinced that the plot was woven in iron-cast secrecy. Then there was this banquet to which he was invited as a special guest. While the wining and dinning was in full swing, Haman’s plot to exterminate the Jews was exposed. The banquet turned out to be his waterloo.

23.Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
24.But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.

Key Verse: “That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also” (Romans 16:2).
God is at His best when He uses things we view as commonplace to accomplish extraordinary feats. For instance, He took the inarticulate and hesitant Moses to free millions of Israelites from centuries of bondage.

DCLM Daily Manna, Saturday November 28, 2015 by Pastor Kumuyi – The Limits Of Oppressors
Topic: The Limits of Oppressors [Saturday November 28, 2015]
Text: Psalm 94:1-11
Key Verse: “LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?” (Psalm 94:3).
Today, there are many international, government and non- governmental organizations that campaign or fight against injustice and oppression. Many of them are genuinely concerned about the atrocities going on in the world. Unfortunately, despite these political, legal and social solutions, injustice still prevails. This is because the problem of injustice and oppression lies beyond these solutions.
Pastor Faith Oyedepo: Saturday November 28, 2015 Daily Devotional – Staying in Your Place
Topic: Staying in Your Place [Saturday 28 November, 2015]
“And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.”-Genesis 2:18
A whole lot of women, especially when they get to a certain age bracket, strongly desire to be married without considering and/or really finding out what they may be getting into. They neither know their role, nor seek to find out how to perform better. All they wish is marriage, whether they perform well in it or not. Maybe the joy of the wedding ceremony overwhelms their need to seek knowledge on how to make the marriage work. Regardless, the truth is: A woman’s role in the home as well as the man’s, has been outlined in Scriptures.

Pastor Faith Oyedepo: Friday November 27, 2015 Daily Devotional – Possess a Strong-Will!
Topic: Possess a Strong-Will! [Friday 27 November, 2015]
“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.”-Daniel 1:8
There is something about a man’s strong-will; it is far different from being stubborn, as it is a determination to do or be strong even in the midst of great oppositions. Having a strong-will can either be to your benefit or damnation, depending on your use of it. However, it is important for everyone to possess a strong passion towards the right course and especially towards God.
DCLM Daily Manna, Friday November 27, 2015 by Pastor Kumuyi – The True Heroes
Topic: The True Heroes [Friday November 27, 2015]
Text: Hebrews 11:30-40
Key Verse: "And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions" (Hebrews 11:32,33).
In a museum in Scotland resides the sword of famous Scotsman Wallace, who was a hero and patriot. A visitor once said, “I do not see how it could win such victories”. “Ah sir, you do not see the arm that wielded it,” came the reply. Hebrews chapter eleven is truly a chronology of heroes of faith.

Pastor Faith Oyedepo: Thursday November 26, 2015 Daily Devotional – No More Delay
“And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.”-Matthew 6:12
Sometime ago, a young lady came to me for counselling. She spoke at length, and at the end of it all, I discovered that her character and reactions were strongly influenced by the grudge she had towards her father. She was born out of wedlock, and her father behaved badly towards her mother. That made her embittered against the male gender. I made her realise that she needed to let go of the hurt she felt, if God must open a new chapter for her.

DCLM Daily Manna, Thursday November 26, 2015 by Pastor Kumuyi – Work for Everyone
Topic: Work for Everyone [Thursday November 26, 2015]
Text: Acts 13:1-7
Key Verse: “As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them” (Acts 13:2).
“A man willing to work and unable to find work, is perhaps the saddest sight… under the sun”, remarked Thomas Carlyle, Scottish historian and writer. It is not the will of God that man should be idle, doing nothing. He has work for each one of His creatures to do.

Pastor Faith Oyedepo: Wednesday November 25, 2015 Daily Devotional – Using your Assets
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” -2 Timothy 1:7
When we talk of using the creative power of the mind to get what we want, some people actually restrain its capability. However, the human mind is powerful and can also be put to effective use in the ministry too. In fact, without the use of your mind, you might be stagnated in your assignment. The church growth, impact and transformation you envision in ministry begins with the mind.

Key Verse: "One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD" (Numbers 15:15).
The “tribe” of human right advocates has greatly expanded in the last couple of decades. At the heart of these movements and campaigns is the vexed issue of equality. These movements seek to address specific situations they consider biased and unfair in societies.

DCLM Daily Manna, Tuesday November 24, 2015 by Pastor Kumuyi – A Lifetime Preoccupation
Topic: A Lifetime Preoccupation [Tuesday November 24, 2015]
Text: Romans 15:14-22
Key Verse: “Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation” (Romans 15:20).
Some years ago, an uncompromising newspaper columnist and radio commentator, John Calvin Thomas, was to take part in a TV network news program. Shortly before the show was recorded, the producer asked Thomas not “to use any Bible verses tonight”. On another occasion, he was dropped from an appearance on a morning presentation; the producer fearing that Thomas, a faithful evangelical Christian, “might quote some Bible verses”. Apostle Paul also had challenges in his days while going about the business of the great commission. The authorities sought to shut his mouth from preaching.
Pastor Faith Oyedepo: Tuesday November 24, 2015 Daily Devotional – Be financially informed
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”-2 Timothy 2:15
Ayn Rand once said: “Wealth is the product of man’s capacity to think.” Most people think money is all they need. I disagree! You do not need money as much as you need financial skill. As much as you need to “earn in millions” and live “big”, you also need to learn how to keep in touch with investment opportunities around you and to invest wisely.

Topic: Make peace for them [Monday 23 November, 2015]
“Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.”-1 Timothy 4:15
A young man was having challenges with his wife, shortly after they got married. The case deteriorated and he resulted to counselling because, even though their relationship wasn’t cosy, he didn’t want his marriage to end. It was discovered in counselling that his parents were always having challenges and as a result, he had accepted that every marital relationship should be that way. This assumption is so untrue!
DCLM Daily Manna, Monday November 23, 2015 by Pastor Kumuyi – Even Now, God Can
Topic: Even Now, God Can [Monday November 23, 2015]
Text: John 11:18-32
Key Verse: “Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee” (John 11:21,22).
“Faith,” says American pastor and author, A.W. Tozer, “sees the invisible but it does not see the non- existent.” The Bible renders it so emphatically, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. It is so because it is directed at God. The Bible says, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God”.

Topic: Laying a foundation of Obedience [Sunday 22 November, 2015]
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.”-Ephesians 6:1
There are so many seemingly “little things” that when neglected, create “bigger” challenges in the future. One of these is “minute” acts of disobedience seen in younger children. Some of these children then get too used to being disobedient that they disobey any and every instruction given to them. With this, they find it very easy to disobey God and other authorities.
DCLM Daily Manna, Sunday November 22, 2015 by Pastor Kumuyi – The Big Question
Topic: The Big Question [Sunday November 22, 2015]
Text: Isaiah 21:11-17
Key Verse: “The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?” (Isaiah 21:11)
Asking questions has been a very important tool in the learning process. Without questions, no scientific progress would have been made from creation. Questions are asked for various reasons and they reveal the character of the persons asking them. For instance, the first recorded question in the Bible was asked by Satan from Eve: “Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” This was asked with an evil motive of weakening Eve’s faith and to lure her to disobey God. Such crafty questions abound.

Pastor Faith Oyedepo: Saturday November 21, 2015 Daily Devotional – Little but Destructive
Topic: Little but Destructive [Saturday 21 November, 2015]
“Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!”-James 3:5
Fires are often started by the strike of a match. No matter the size of the match, it has the capacity to start a great fire. Similarly, the tongue is one of the smallest members of the body, but has the capacity to spark up great fire of mass destructions in the home. Amongst many things that destroy the home, the most common and grievous is an unkept and unguided tongue. It sinks deep into the heart of the recipient and shatters relationships with even the best of friends.

Key Verse: “And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all” (Revelation 18:21).
Our text captures what God prescribed as the total destruction of Babylon, which shall be sudden and catastrophic. The sins of the city were that she deceived many nations and killed saints. God had a controversy against her and brought her beneath the surface where nobody could see her again. The city, which was once basking with socio-economic activities became a shadow of herself.

Joel & Victoria Osteen’s Thursday daily devotion 19 November: What’s Chasing You?
Today’s Scripture: “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23:6, NKJV)
Topic: What’s Chasing You? [Thursday 19, November 2015]
In the Bible, David was known as a man after God’s own heart. Notice what what He says in Psalm 23, “Goodness and mercy are following me.” David lived with an attitude of expectancy. One translation says, “God’s kindness chases me everywhere that I go.” David’s attitude was, “Something good is going to happen to me. Everywhere I go, I know God’s blessings are chasing me. Favor is following me around.” No wonder he saw God’s goodness! No wonder he overcame his obstacles and accomplished great dreams. He knew good things were chasing after him!

DCLM Daily Manna, Thursday November 19, 2015 by Pastor Kumuyi – God Is Still In Control
Text: Psalm 93:1-5
Key Verse: “The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea” (Psalm 93:4).
You may have heard the story of the man that got insanely frustrated about God and decided to spit at Him. As he positioned his mouth heavenward and spat, the wind returned the full measure of the spittle upon his face. God possesses a deep sense of humour.

“Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.”-Jeremiah 23:24
Have you ever tried stacking dirty dishes of unequal sizes together? It might stay for a while, but when it gets too clumsy, a little push or the whistle of the wind can make them all crumble, shattering almost everything. The same thing happens when you stack up your sins. They tend to cover up each other for a while, but when it becomes too weighty, just one more “little sin” can bring the greatest fall you never imagined.
