A Promise For You From Bible Promises:
Topic: Behold, I Come Quickly [02/06/2017]
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Revelation 3:11. Read: 2 Pet 3:1-10
When the Lord told John the beloved on the island of Patmos, And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. The Lord Jesus meant it. His coming is imminent, no matter how long it seems, it will definitely come. Before His coming, many things are going to take place on earth which Jesus Himself enumerated in Matthew 24. Many will claim to be Christ, wars and rumours of wars, nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom, famines, pestilence, earthquake in divers places. Etc. Today, many have overtaken the faith of innocent believers, many preachers like Zecharias do not even believe in what they preach. They have given up on the second coming of Jesus Christ.
Why the delay you might want to ask? Well, like Jesus said, the gospel must be preached to all nations of the world. Another thing is that, we be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. And finally, the longsuffering of God is for the impenitent sinners to repent of their sins. Don't forget, the day you die, Jesus has come quickly in your life.
