A Promise For You From Bible Promises:
Topic: Entering Into Your Rest. Pt One [02/07/2017]
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. Hebrews 3:19. Read: Heb 3:7-18
A wise man said, "he that fail to rest (relax) shall be laid to rest (in the grave)". Today, most of the sicknesses, frustration, depression, distress can be traced to lack of rest. Inadequate rest usually results to migraine and total breakdown of the human system. Many work round the clock and hardly have time to take care of themselves let alone their family. After a busy day or week in the office, relaxation is needed to rejuvenate. In Genesis 2:2, the Bible says, after creating all things, God ceased from His work and took time out to rest. Therefore, God does not only place a high value on rest, He is the God of rest and desires our rest too. In as much as God hates laziness and loves hard work, He also loves rest after a full day's work. If God is not involved or supports your progress in life, no matter how hard you work, you can still end up with little because the preacher said, "I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all". Eccl 9:11. Only God can bless your work and not your restlessness.
The first thing to note and do if you must enter into your rest is to believe in the God of rest. You must firmly believe that only God can give you rest from all your labour. Faith is all it takes. Heb 11:6. Don't die before your time out of restlessness
