Topic: The Faith Walk [Wednesday 4 November, 2015]
“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”-2 Corinthians 5:7
Many believers and people in ministry today have longed to walk in the realms of performing miracles. We all want to pray for the sick and see them whole. However, most times, it gets frustrating when we don’t get our desired results. It is not because God does not want to use us, or He has preference for some others; we lack miracles because we have failed to put our faith to work.
The Christian walk is a faith walk. You believe in Jesus through faith, you receive and do everything by faith. Without faith, it is impossible to survive as a Christian. This is why some Christians/ministers lack proof. They lack the required faith to walk, and so nothing works for them.
Faith is to a Christian what oxygen is to living. Particularly, if you must walk effectively in the ministry given to you by God, you must walk in faith. However, faith is tangible but not in the physical realm. It has physical qualities, but cannot be seen. This is why many believers, including ministers fail to make their faith produce. They want to see everything with the physical eyes before they believe.
Faith is in your heart. As a minister when you pray for the sick or make a prophetic declaration, believe in your heart that what you have said would come to pass. Even when situations around you seem discouraging, forget the physical and look on to the reality of the workings of the faith in your heart. What you voice out with your mouth, must first match the faith in your heart before it can become reality.
Therefore, you need to build up your faith through the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Dare to believe everything written in the Word of God (Acts 24:14) and you will begin to walk in the miracles performed therein. You don’t command signs, wonders and miracles by mere wishing, it comes through well-built up faith. Receive grace to build up your faith in the name of Jesus Christ!
Remain Blessed!
