11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel?

12 And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.

Then this Daniel was distinguished above the presidents and the satraps because an excellent spirit was in him, and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. — Daniel 6:3 (AMPC)

I strongly urge you to face your challenges one day at a time. Looking too far down the road only tends to overwhelm us. Trusting God requires that we believe He gives us our “daily bread”; that is, we receive what we need as we need it and usually not before.

Thought For The Day: The unction of your spiritual cover determines the mountain you can level.

Some time ago, a woman gave a testimony in our church: a child in her neighbourhood was electrocuted and she went to the accident scene and declared, ‘Our Pastor, Dr Paul Enenche said that ‘There Shall Be No Loss’’. Immediately she made the declaration, the electrocuted child regained consciousness and came back to life.

Handling Family Challenges (4) by Pastor Faith Oyedepo

Topic: Handling Family Challenges (4)

Dear Reader,

You are welcome to the concluding part of this series for the month. It is my prayer that by subscribing to the remedies prescribed to these common challenges in families, you will experience the sweetness ordained for your family!

However, in concluding this series, I will be teaching on the Challenge of Keeping Wrong Company. The Bible says: He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed (Proverbs 13:20). A man doesn’t have to be foolish himself to be destroyed; all he needs to do is walk with the foolish and soon, the folly of his friend would rub off on him. Walking with a foolish man is as bad as being foolish. It is clear from the above scripture that the company you keep either makes or mars you; it doesn’t leave you the same. A wise man once said, “You will remain what you are today in five years’ time, except for the books you read and the company you keep”.

TREM’s Daily 31 January 2018 Devotional by Dr. Mike Okonkwo - Stand On The Truth

Topic: Stand On The Truth [TREM’s Daily Wednesday January 31st, 2018]

“Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.” Psalm 86:11(KJV)

Your positioning in Christ is the truth!  Your circumstance is not the truth! Your circumstance is a fact; it is not the truth. The truth is superior to the fact. For instance, the fact may be that you don’t have a job now but your positioning is that God supplies all your needs. And that is where you should stand. That is where you should focus on. And the Holy Spirit will take it and begin to work out your getting a job and getting promotion and getting an increase. That is how it works!  As long as you are looking at your circumstance, the Holy Spirit who is your helper is impotent. He will not help you because you are not standing in the truth.

Read: Isaiah 1:16–20, Bible in a Year: Exodus 25–26; Matthew 20:17–34

Though yours sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Isaiah 1:18

Last December, my family and I went to the mountains. We had lived in a tropical climate all our lives, so it was the first time we could see snow in all its magnificence. As we contemplated the white mantle covering the fields, my husband quoted Isaiah, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow” (Isaiah 1:18).

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. — Philippians 1:21

Helen Keller, who is a classic example of handling life’s handicaps, said, “I thank God for my handicaps, for through them I have found myself, my work, and my God.” Some people with handicaps drown themselves in self-pity, and thus limit their usefulness and service to mankind and to God. The Apostle Paul knew the pangs of suffering. He used his infirmity rather than allowing his infirmity to use him, and he used it for the glory of God. He seized everything, even death, to glorify his Lord. No matter which way fate turned, he was one jump ahead of it, and using it to magnify his Savior.

Mary knew Jesus as no one else did at this point. The Bible supplies no details of the childhood of Jesus except his trip to Jerusalem at twelve years of age, but it is certain that Mary knew Jesus was no ordinary man. Her request of Jesus to provide the guests with more wine reflects her belief that He could do things others could not.

MESSAGE THEME: THE HOLY SPIRIT AND RESURRECTION - PART 4
MESSAGE TITLE: BE VALUABLE
SALVATION MINISTRIES

SOME NEGATIVE VALUES THAT AFFECT PEOPLE

1. Lack of value for life.

You only become valuable when you add value to others. You express God's love when you value human lives because God values them - Matthew 25:42-45.

2. Lack of control over the future.

Action without a plan is failure. A plan is a written list of arranged actions necessary to achieve a desired goal - John 14:2, Proverbs 29:18.

Topic: Commitment To Your Spouse (4)

Dear Reader,

May the peace of God be with you in Jesus name!  There is no doubt you have been blessed by this subject of commitment ever since we started this month. Give God a chance by putting to work the things you are reading in this article. Our God is a God of liberation and second chance; He will give you a new beginning, if you let Him! Today, I shall be teaching on the subject: The Place of Voice and Action in Commitment to Your Spouse.

A commitment to love your spouse is not complete until you give voice and action to it. Men can never understand what these three simple words, “I love you” can do to a woman. That is why surprisingly, some men find it difficult to give voice to their commitment.

Not only that, Romans 8:16 and 17 say: “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

Basic Scripture: John 7:37-44, Ephesians 5:26

As I checked into a hotel in a foreign country, I was impressed with the modest room plan and very good bed fabrics. The color of the room was tailor-made to make you sleep and rest. I was very happy and impressed. As soon as I stepped into the bathroom to take my shower, however, I noticed a big sign on the wall: “please don’t take your shower for more than 3 minutes or less, to help us save water for this country and conserve the environment. “I was in sudden shock! However, my shock turned into an outburst or laughter because I could not believe what I was reading. After such a long journey, I felt I deserve a good and longer than for just 3 minutes or less. And indeed, my fear was: will the shower cease after 3 minutes I that was how it was programmed? But thank God I spent more than 3 minutes! But as I was in that shower, today’s devotional broke out in my spirit in an outburst of divine laughter.

Many are desperately searching for it, but Jesus said in John 14:27: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Since the month began, I have been teaching on prayer as a key to meeting your needs; thereby establishing lasting peace in your home. Here, I will conclude the teaching by giving you more Benefits of Prayer. I am sure that you will be blessed.

Right now, wherever you are, if you have received Christ as your Lord and Saviour you are the righteousness of God in Christ. It means you have a right standing with God. It means that every time of your life, you stand right with Him. You never stand wrong in the presence of God. It means you have God’s DNA in you. It means you have authority to pray and expect answers. It means you have authority to rebuke the devil and expect him to obey. That is what right standing is. It means that you have been discharged and acquitted, the case is closed and it can never be appealed. There is nothing the devil can do about it. Why? Because you have a right standing!

. . . our Lord Jesus Christ . . . which hath loved us . . . comfort your hearts . . . — 2 Thessalonians 2:16,17

Christ is the answer to sorrow. When Harry Lauder, the great Scottish comedian, received word that his son had been killed in France, he said, “In a time like this, there are three courses open to man: He may give way to despair and become bitter. He may endeavor to drown his sorrow in drink or in a life of wickedness. Or he may turn to God.” In your sorrow, turn to God. There are thousands of people who have turned to God, but you may be still carrying your burdens. God begs of you, “Cast all your cares on me, for I care for you” (1 Peter 5:7). You who must go through the valley of the shadow of death, you who must say goodbye to those whom you have loved, you who suffer privation and misery, you who are unjustly persecuted for righteousness’ sake-take heart, take courage. Our Christ is more than adequate for sorrow.

There seems to be an abundance of "stony ground" Christians these days. Initially, they get excited about the Word of God. They'll hear a message on prosperity, for instance, and they'll go home saying, "Hallelujah! I'm going to prosper in the Name of Jesus!" You have entered the league of those who have been received. You now have access! You are not shut out! The same way Jesus was accepted before the Father is the way you were accepted. The same quality of acceptance!  No difference! God sees us whenever we come into His presence the same way He sees Jesus.

Our Daily Bread 28 January 2018 Devotional – Joy

Our Daily Bread 28 January 2018 Devotional – Joy

Topic: Joy [Our Daily Bread 28th Sunday January, 2018]

Read: Psalm 92, Bible in a Year: Exodus 19–20; Matthew 18:21–35

I sing for joy at what your hands have done. Psalm 92:4

I’m fast approaching a new season—the “winter” of old age—but I’m not there yet. Even though the years are galloping by and sometimes I’d like to slow them down, I have joy that sustains me. Each day is a new day given me by the Lord. With the psalmist, I can say, “It is good to praise the Lord . . . proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night”! (Psalm 92:1–2).

Dunamis Seeds of Destiny 28 January 2018 by Pastor Paul Enenche - The Essence Of Spiritual Cover

Topic: The Essence Of Spiritual Cover [Seeds of Destiny Sunday January 28th, 2018]

Scripture: And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved. Hosea 12:13.

Thought For The Day: Your spiritual father is your ladder with which you attain your height in life and destiny.

God is a God of order and protocol. One of the orders established by God is the order of spiritual authority, order and protocol in order to push destinies into fulfilment. This is the essence of spiritual cover – to push someone into his or her destiny. We can see this spiritual order and protocol also at work in the life of Jesus Christ. As anointed as Jesus was, he did not function in Ministry until he submitted to the Ministry and spiritual cover of John the Baptist. John the Baptist was the known prophet in town but Jesus Christ was an unknown prophet who was coming up at the time. You know, it takes a known prophet to reveal the voice of an unknown prophet.

For the dream comes through much effort, and the voice of the fool through many words. — Ecclesiastes 5:3

I once heard of a guard who watched over a certain plot of ground at Buckingham Palace in England. For 100 years, 24 hours a day, that plot of land had been guarded.
