Topic: Kings And Queens [Teens’ Open Heavens Monday 22, January 2018]
Memorise: And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. - Revelation 1:6
Read: Revelation 1:6 (KJV)
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Bible In One Year: Exodus 1-3, Matthew 15:21-39
MESSAGE:
A king is a man under authority and the extent of his power is usually determined by the extent of the authority given to him. Our Bible reading for today says that God has made us kings, and knowing that God is supreme in authority, it implies that our power is unlimited. However, sometimes we find ourselves victims of circumstances that we should ordinarily be in control of. This is usually because of two things; either we do not know the authority that we have or He has withdrawn His power.
My child, I stand boldly to tell you today that as long as you remain in the bosom of Christ, there is NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE to you. All you have to do is issue commands and everything will obey you. However, if you befriend the devil, God will withdraw His power and you will find yourself struggling to overcome situations. You were made to be a king/queen. It is your choice whether to operate as one or not.
Key Point: Stay close to God and maintain your power.
Hymn 7:
1. I am Thine 0 Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.
2. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow'r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.
3. Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!
4. There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.
