The #BringBackOurGirls group has hailed the Nigerian Army and President Goodluck Jonathan for showing examplary leadership by visiting some of the retaken villages of Baga and Mubi; which had been taken over by the Boko Haram insurgents earlier.

Speaking at the group’s sit-out yesterday, Oby Ezekwesili noted that the group, does not kick against the activities of the federal government and the security operatives rather, the group is for a change.

Ezekwesili also called on Nigerians not to be deceived by misinformation that the BBOG is against the military, noting that the group totally support the Nigeria military and its activities in the fight against the insurgents.

She however, noted that demanding accountability from the security agencies, does not mean that the group is against the Nigeria army rather, but that the group wanted the security agencies to share more information so as to build trust among Nigerians.

While commending the Nigeria army for personally supervising people the return to Michika and Baga, Ezekwesili noted that the group’s critical analysis of the army and federal government has yielded result and the group can only wish for more.

While also commending the troops for a good job in retaken some of the villages, Senator Ali Ndume said the fact on ground is that our lives are more important than elections. We need our people to go back home and continue their lives and that is why we must commend the Army for a job weldone.

He also explained that even as a senator representing Borno south, he has no information on the claimed liberated communities except the information from the Nigeria army but with the visitation of the chief of Defence Staff and the president to the reclaimed villages, he is now sure that it is a fact and calls for more information from the Army.
