Topic: Given to Service [Wednesday February 25, 2015]
- 1 Peter 2:9
As a minister’s wife, you are peculiar, very important, special, unusual, positively strange, and uniquely favoured by God. You occupy a very distinct position and have been given the grace to carry out effectively your task as assigned by God. You should know that God does not make mistakes and for every position He places you, you have been endowed with divine capacity to function maximally.
However, many times, we may feel that we have put in too much and have reaped little, or that people don’t appreciate the effort we are putting into this wonderful office given to us. Some might even think they are not accorded the same respect as their husbands, despite all their efforts in Kingdom service. You should know that you are not called into a competition, neither are you there to outdo another.
Your calling is by divine privilege, and you have been called to service. Being a minister’s wife is service and Jesus said: “There is no man that has truly given up everything that would not gain much more in eternity.” So, don’t be afraid to give your all and your best in promoting God’s Kingdom.
Remember, everyone will be rewarded according to her labour. Therefore, labour abundantly in the Word, in prayers, in giving, evangelism, and every form of service as you are called to per time. Watch how God increases you mightily. You will not miss your rewards in the name of Jesus!
Remain Blessed!
