Topic: A Joyful disposition [Sunday 6 September, 2015]
“Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.”-Isaiah 12:3
Child rearing is an adventurous responsibility; but should never be taken on, as a burden. Accepting this responsibility of fashioning your children as arrows must be done in joy. Raising children can either be exciting or stressful, depending on your perspective.
Some people transfer the negative outcome of their daily routine to their children, leaving them to wonder if they are loved or not. This is because they really cannot fathom the reasons behind your behaviour, except you tell them. Children flourish more in a fun-loving environment and this solely depends on the attitude of their parents towards them and life, in general.
Sometimes, it may not be easy to retain your joy with the stress of the day– such as with work and house chores—and so, when your child offends you, you respond extremely harshly. You must understand though, that no matter what the situation is, you should never lose your joy to the notice of your child nor should you give into frustration. Any situation can be amended if you are positive about it.
Consciously create time for fun and laughter even while you juggle between training them and providing for their welfare and yours. Being joyful means you are optimistic and having the right attitude, which automatically finds expression on your outside. It is positivity on the inside that produces a positive environment for you. So, stay joyful, thankful and praiseful, and your family would be positively affected by your disposition.
Remain Blessed!
