Bail out: we'll overcome bottlenecks delaying funds release


Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi has assured that the State would overcome the bottleneck delaying the release of the State’s share of the bail out funds, towards ensuring that the outstanding salaries of teachers and workers at the Local Government level is paid.

Awoniyi made the remarks at a forum of People’s Democratic Party PDP, organized in Okehi Local Government Area, by the State Chairman of the PDP, Engr. Sam Uhuotu at the weekend.

The Deputy Governor thanked the people of Okehi Local Government Area, for their support for the Capt Idris Wada administration, disclosing that projects dear to the heart of the people and problems affecting them  has been identified aimed at improving their living standard.

The Deputy Governor particularly commended Teachers and Council workers in the state for their patience, said the teachers, and council workers are the greatest beneficiaries of the expected bail out, said N45billion of the funds is to cater for the teachers while the state governments share is N5.9billion, expressed optimism at the early release of the funds to help cushion the hardship faced by the people.

While thanking delegates from the area for being outstanding in the just concluded PDP Governorship Primaries, Awoniyi urged them to vote the PDP in the fourth – coming Governorship Election, disclosing that the humane disposition of the Governor and his stand on power rotation, places him as the best candidate amongst the major gladiators.

Awoniyi, assured that the welfare of workers and the people would remain cardinal under the Capt Idris Wada administration if he is re-elected, urged the people to remain steadfast to the building of a strong Kogi State.

Earlier in his remarks, Engr. Sam Uhuotu, State Chairman of the PDP, said the areas support for Capt Wada is hinged on his promise for power rotation in 2019, said he is a man who can be trusted to keep his promise among the gladiators, urged the people of the area to remain supportive and vote the PDP and Capt Wada in the fourth – coming Governorship Election.
