A Promise For You From Bible Promises:
Topic: He Always Provides An Escape Route. Pt Two [28/08/2017]
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16. Read: Jn 3:1-15
At every point in time, God always knows what to do to get his children out of trouble. He knows what to do when men are in confusion in life. He knew that the blood of bulls and goat could not wash away the sin of the world, He sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins. When you compare the sin Sodom and Gomorrah committed that attracted God's wrath against them with this dispensation of grace, you will discover that the sin of this generation is more grievous than theirs, yet, God's grace and mercy is sustaining this generation.
Yesterday, we saw how God Almighty asked Moses to make a replica of the serpent that was killing the Israelite when they sinned against Him to hang it and whoever that was bitten by the serpent and looked up to it shall live. Jesus recalling this told Nicodemus that whoever that shall be saved must look up to Him. Many believe that they can buy their way into eternity by their good works. If good works can secure eternity for a man, of what benefit is Jesus's death on the Cross of calvary? Good works is never a substitute for salvation, you must be born again by giving your life to Jesus. Cornelius was rich and good in alms giving, yet, Jesus had to save him. The rich man in Lazarus story died without Jesus so he went to hell.

* It would have been better not to come to life than to die without Jesus in your life
