Topic: Every Aspect [Saturday, 26th August 2017]
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ. Ephesians 4:15
It is not uncommon to find a Christian who is well grounded in the word, and making waves in ministry fall short in another area of his life, for example, fail an exam, impregnate a sister, etc. This does not happen because God was unfaithful, or wanted to punish them, or those areas they failed in was not His area of specialty, etc. No. This happened because such a Christian refused to understand that God was also concerned about that aspect of their lives, and desired that they be the best there also.
For some reason, as believers, we have come to start believing that all God is concerned about is the health of our spirit, and that all He wants is to help us with in our spiritual growth and financial prosperity. But from our anchor scripture we see that that we can grow in him in ALL things. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” This is really amazing. That the scripture is given that we may be made perfect unto ALL good works.
This tells me that God is not only concerned about how many souls I can win, but also of how my emotions are. He is also concerned about the state of my mind and He wants it excellent like His. He is concerned that my body is working excellently, and functioning just how it should function. Wow. So that means I can turn to God with my emotional instability and ask Him to teach me how to handle it. That also means that when I read and don’t quite understand, I can call on the Holy Spirit to teach me, for He said “He will teach me all things.”
God desires the best for you in every aspect of your life, why not commit it all to Him.
Keep winning daily.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for opening my eyes to see that You are not just concerned about only three aspects of my life, but about every area. Father help me to always remember this, and to commit all things into Your hands, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
