Kogi State Government says it will not do anything that will jeopardize the existing industrial harmony in the State.
Kogi State Head of Service, Dr Moses Atakpa, in a statement assured that it will continue to adhere to the implementation of regular payment of salaries that will ensure improve quality of lives for its workers.
Dr Atakpa in a statement urged workers to disregard rumour making the round of the State Government plans to retrench workers in the State public service.
The Head of Service, in the statement disclosed of government's determination and renewed commitment in ensuring that the welfare of workers, even amidst economic challenges faced by States of Federation to implement and pay the national minimum wage remains a priority. The statement assured that now and even in the future, the state government has no intention to carry out any retrenchment exercise.
