Politicians who are deceiving themselves that the PDP would not have candidates for the forth coming elections to the National and State Assemblies election to represent Okene Senatorial District, Member to Represent Okene Federal Constituency and all the state assembly elections in the Ogori Okene Federal Constituency, will be shocked as the PDP, Awoniyi explained has candidates who will win overwhelmingly in the forth coming elections.
The State Deputy Governor gave the charge in Ogori-Magongo LGA at the PDP Presidential and House of Assembly Campaign Rally, held in Akpafa, Ogori Magongo LGA.
Awoniyi who represented Capt Idris Wada, Kogi State Governor, urged people of the area to ensure they are part of the PDP victory as the party will win the March 28 Presidential and other elections.
Awoniyi begged the people to deliver President Jonathan, disclosing that Kogi State got a better share in the last four years under the Jonathan administration.
Awoniyi described President Jonathan as the best president the country has ever produced, urged the people not to be deceived by the noise of the opposition parties.
The Deputy Governor called on the people to ensure that the don't do selective voting, assuring that like the party has always done it will make the people the bastion of governance and quality representation.
Awoniyi described Kogi State as a PDP state, and the area as one that has been under the stronghold of the PDP, urged them to maintain the record and to keep the flag of the party flying.
Also speaking, the Secretary to Kogi State Government, Prof Olugbemiro Jegede, said the PDP stands better place to protect the interest of Ogori Magongo people, appealed to them to vote for all candidates of the party in the forth coming general election.
Prof Jegede said the area under Capt Idris Wada has had its fair share in appointments and other dividends of democracy, urged the people to vote en mass for President Jonathan and all candidates of the party in the weekend's general election.
Other speakers who included Chief Patrick Adaba, Yahaha Karaku, Engr Stephen Maiyaki, Albert Soje, all called on the people of Ogori Magongo to vote for the PDP in the general election, stating that the PDP has made impact on the lives of Kogi State people,in the last four years of the Jonathan's administration, assuring that the administration will do more if elected.
