Saint Peter College Idah boys of Kogi State and Girls of Government Girls Secondary School, Yola, Adamawa State have qualified from the Confluence Conference for the national finals of the 17th Nestle Milo Secondary School Basketball Championship on Tuesday.
Saint Peter College Idah boys of Kogi State defeated General Murtala Muhammed College, Yola, Adamawa 43-34 in the zonal play-offs final played at the Indoor Hall of the Kogi COnfluence Stadium.
Saint Peter will be the first to represent Kogi State at the National Finals of 17th billed for Lagos since the inception of the competition.
In the female category, Girls of Government Girls Secondary School, Yola, Adamawa State beat Government Day Secondary School, Jogana of Kano State 41-15.
Earlier on Monday, Borno's Unimad Secondary School,Borno brushed aside their Kano's Ahmaddiya College, Kano fellows 60-42 to clinch the bronze in the male losers' final.
While Kogi's Royal Crown Secondary School, Ajaokuta defeated their counterparts from Yagai Academy Jalingo, Taraba State 21-20 to claim the third place prize in the female's third place final.
