Justice Dispensation: Kogi Govt Partners NBA

Kogi State Government says it will continue to partner with the State Chapter of the Nigerian Bar Association towards ensuring an effective delivery and quick dispensation of Justice in the State.

The State Governor, Capt Idris Wada, stated this at the Branch Law Week/ fund raising dinner for the completion of her NBA secretariat.

The Governor who was represented at the occasion by his Deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, guaranteed the Bar of a conducive working environment that will enable her members to discharge their profession unhindered.

Capt Wada commended the cordial and mutual relationship that has existed between the State and the Bar, commended the giant strides the state NBA has attained under its current leadership.
While he assured the Bar of the state government's support to its activities, the present administration he said will continue to identify with Professional bodies whose mission is in tandem with the transformation of that of the state government.

Capt Wada commended the Bar for the passage of its branch bye law, along side other activities that have put the Branch in good light, described the contribution of Kogi State indigene in the legal profession in Nigeria as highly commended, urged the Bar in Lokoja to sustain the spirit of excellence legal professionals from the state are known for.

In an address, J.A.Akubo, Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association, Lokoja Branch,said aside the Bar has made remarkable progress in improving the knowledge of its members through regular workshop, said the dinner was organized to refresh the members for the task of justice dispensation in the state.

The Chairman, called on all those involved in the administration of justice system in the state to abide strictly by the tenets of the rules of professional conduct in the legal profession as ministers in the sacred temple of justice.

The dinner was attended by Kogi State Chief Judge, Justice Nasiru Ajanah and the State Commissioner of Police.
