The present administration in Kogi State says it will not spare any effort that will improve the living standard of its people living in rural areas.
Capt Idris Wada, Kogi State Governor, made the disclosure when he received in his office, HRH, Oba Timothy Omonile, Olu Okebukun.
The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, said while the present administration remains committed to improving the infrastructures in urban centres of the State, it is also simultaneously and vigorously pursuing the development of rural areas.
Capt Wada disclosed that the rural areas of the State are consciously provided with roads, Primary Healthcare centers and Rural Water supply and other amenities that will make living in rural areas comfortable, assured of his administration's commitment to improving the well-being of people living in rural areas.
The Governor maintained that the Ministry of Rural Development has been repositioned to aid in eliminating rural poverty, assured that the Traditional Institution will be carried along in government’s decision on how to improve the well-being of their people.
The Governor promised to look into the issues of insecurity complained by the Royal Father and commended the people of Oke – Bukun for their tremendous support to his administration.
Earlier in his remarks, HRH, Oba Timothy Omonile and the Olu Okebukun solicited the support of the government towards improving the security situation of the area as well as improvement in the areas infrastructures.
Oba Omonile, praised the present administration for its open door policy, promised the continuous support of his people to the present administration of Capt Idris Wada.
