Topic: Get rid of those Offences [Thursday May 28, 2015]
“And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.”-Matthew 11:6Offences are expressions of inward anger and animosity. They are the feelings you get when you think that you have been treated unjustly and deserve more. Unfortunately, people get offended in God too. They feel they deserve more and should have what, and if not more, of what their neighbours have. They may also think they don’t deserve what they are going through right now, and God has been “unjust” to them.
However, they have failed to realize that God is ever merciful and does no evil to His children. Rather, He delivers you from the traps of the devil, who is your one true enemy. Thing is, the devil is an imposter; he paints every situation to look as if God is responsible for them. He places anger and resentment in the heart of men, so they would be offended with God. You must realize that these are all tricks of the devil.
The above Scripture says that“blessed is he… not offended in Me”. A person therefore must recognize that every negative situation he or she is confronted with today has the devil at the root cause, and only God can and is willing to deliver you from it. Such an individual will most definitely receive the help required to come through that challenge successfully. However, when you are offended with God, it is impossible to look beyond that situation, so it is impossible to get past it.
Are you tired of that negative situation, are you tired of falling prey to the gimmicks of the devil, and are you tired of moving around a particular spot in your life?Get rid of that offence in your heart. Rebuke the temptation to blame God for your situation and receive His grace for help. Take a clue from the story of Job who refused to curse God in spite of his circumstance and then received the grace for restoration. That situation has no legal right over you; it must bow today!
Remain Blessed!
