There are various reliable transportation companies in Nigeria that convey passengers and luggages across the length and breadth of Nigeria.Some of them also transport passengers to countries outside Nigeria, especially West African countries like Ghana, Togo, Cote D’Ivoire, Benin Republic etc.
Here is a highlight of the best transport companies in Nigeria. This list is not a perfect list since none of the transport companies listed is perfect. You might have had a bad experience with anyone of them at one point of the other, but generally these are still the best in Nigeria. 1. ABC Transport Plc
With headquarters located at Kilometer 5, MCC Road, Umuoba, Uratta in Owerri, Imo State, ABC Transport Plc commenced road transport operations in February 13, 1993. Its parent company was Rapido Ventures, but ABC Transport soon became an independent company and by March 2003, Capital Alliance Private Equity acquired 30% shares of the company and became a stakeholder within the transport firm.
The transport company has a fleet of luxurious buses that run major cities within and outside Nigeria, and the company maintains terminals and even lounges for passengers in Lagos, Aba, Owerri, Port-Harcourt, Abuja, Enugu, Onitsha, Umuahia, Lokoja, Jos, Mbaise, and Bolade even though it operates every major city in the country. ABC Transport also transports passengers on a daily basis to Ghana, Togo, and Benin Republic among others.

2. CHISCO Transport Ltd
Chisco Transport Ltd actually started as a micro auto parts retailer before evolving into a full-fledged transportation company in Nigeria. It was established in 1978 by Chief Dr. Chidi Anyaegbu (MFR), and with hundreds of luxurious buses in its fleet, the company currently transports over 6,000 daily passengers to all the 36 states of Nigeria and also shuttles Lome in Togo and Accra in Ghana among other West African countries.

Owned by Chief Dr. Vincent Amaechi Obianodo (MON) and with its head office located at Old Ojo Road, Maza-Maza, Lagos, the transportation company started operations in 1972 by shuttling the Enugu-Onitsha road with a mini-bus. In 1973, the company moved its headquarters from Onitsha to Lagos with only two buses, but just seven years later the company had about 40 buses; and by 1980 it had over 150 luxury buses plying all routes in Nigeria.
It became a limited liability company in 1984, and today has over 500 vehicles running Ibadan, Abuja, Kano, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Jos, Yola, Onitsha, Neni, Enugu, Owerri, Aba, Umuahia, Port Harcourt, Uyo and Calabar among hundreds of other destinations. 4. GUO Motors
Headquartered at Kilometer 12, Onitcha-Enugu Expressway in Anambra State, GUO Transport Services Company is owned by G.U. Okeke and Sons Ltd. With over 30 years experience in the interstate transportation sector, GUO Motors has almost 100 luxury buses and other modern vehicles to shuttle various destinations within Nigeria – from the East to the West and Northern or Southern parts of Nigeria.
