Kogi Govt assures of all round development

An assurance has been given by the government of Kogi State, that no section of the state would be left unattended to in government's distribution of amenities.

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi stated this at the wedding reception between Benjamin Olajide and former Miss Odunayo Ezekiel, held at Odoamu Compound Alu, Yagba East LGA. Kogi State.

Awoniyi said through government agencies the present administration he noted has been able to impact rural communities in the state.

Awoniyi said through the Ministry of Rural Development, MDGs and CSDP, government has intervened in improving lives of people living at the rural communities, said no stone will be left unturned in making life comfortable for rural dwellers in the state.

The Deputy Governor said about 430 projects have been executed by this administration under the MDGs in the last three years, while over 300 projects he added are at the stage of commissioning by the governor under the CSDP with the Ministry of Rural Development successfully providing succor to deserving communities in the state.

Awoniyi commended the people of Alu and the people of Yagba East for their support for the Capt Idris Wada's administration  and assured them that efforts is been made to meet their basic demands amidst dwindling allocation from the Federation account.

Awoniyi charged the new couple on the need for patience and tolerance, said challenges in marriage is best overcome when couple show love and understanding.

The Deputy Governor described marriage institution as one that should be cherished, urged the couple to remain prayerful as marriage he noted is not a bed of roses, but assured that with prayers, patience and togetherness the can surmount all marriage challenges.

The Deputy Governor congratulated the newly wedded couple and wished them a successful married life.

Also speaking, Chief Shola Ojo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Labour Matters who was Chairman at the reception, urged the couple to be prayerful as marriage challenges he disclosed can best be overcome when couples seek the face of God in prayers.

In a remarks, Ayo Benjamin, brother to the groom and immediate past Chairman, Civil Service Commission, congratulated the couple, urged them to see marriage as an institution ordained by God and wished them well in the years ahead.

Alh Hassan Salawu, State Chairman of PDP and other top government dignitaries attended the marriage ceremony.
