2. Avoid sitting with your legs crossed. This can put pressure on the nerves and arteries causing decreased blood flow, pain or numbness in the legs.
3. Avoid using drugs without prescription. A drug that worked for your friend can trigger an adverse effect in you and may endanger your life.
4. Bananas being a rich source of vitamin B6, have proved helpful in the treatment of arthritis. The patient may eat 8 – 9 bananas daily during this period.
5. Correct your posture to prevent headaches. Poor posture such as slouching at your desk, using shoulder and ear to hold the phone can trigger headache.
6. Do not use the cup for drinking water for brushing of teeth. The microorganisms from your over–night saliva (that you are trying to remove from your mouth through brushing) can enter into the cup and eventually return to your mouth.
7. Don’t make call or answer your phone when the battery is low or during charging. The rate of emission of radiation is very high during these times. Explosion can also occur when answering phone during charging.
8. Don’t drink tea in plastic cups and don’t eat any food on polythene paper. The plastic reacts to heat and it can cause 52 types of cancer.
9. Don’t take your drugs with cold water. It will affect the solubility of the drug. Again, don’t lie down immediately after taking drug.
10. Drink water as the first thing in the morning. It has a beneficial health effect.
11. Drinking pomegranate juice regularly can help prevent breast and prostate cancer as it contains 3 times more antioxidants than red wine/green tea.
12. Drinking water kept overnight in a copper container accumulates traces of copper, which is said to build up the muscular system.
13. Eat a carrot everyday to reduce your risk of stroke by more than 50%. Include them in your diet in the form of juice or by adding them to vegetable soups.
14. Eat a large variety of fresh natural produce or supplement your diet with fruits, vitamins and minerals.
15. Eat vegetable every day. Vegetables provide vitamins, minerals and fiber. Many are known to prevent various diseases including cancer.
16. Eating a cup of low–fat yogurt can reduce your susceptibility to colds by 25% as they contain healthy bacteria.
17. Garlic and lemon juice have been used profitably to heal acne (skin disease). Message with raw garlic several times a day. It is known to have cured the toughest of acne difficulty.
18. Get your cholesterol and blood pressure levels checked regularly. This will help you to detect any heart problem early when they are easier to treat.
19. Heavy alcohol consumption contributes to approximately 65% of all cases of pancreatitis and illness and even death from liver disease.
20. If you have diabetes, always wear well–cushioned shoes (that fit well and allow your toes to move) to protect your feet from injuries.
21. Include ginger in your diet to help protect your body against invading microorganisms that can cause cold and flu.
22. Increase your intake of vitamin C when you are taking aspirin or some birth control pills as they can lower your vitamin C levels.
23. Lower your consumption of pickles and sauces. They contain high amount of sodium which can increase your risk of high blood pressure.
24. Maintain a good dental health to reduce your risk of heart disease. People with gum disease are twice as likely to have coronary artery diseases.
25. Mix two teaspoons of lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey in a cup of warm water and take it twice in a day for curing arthritis.
26. The raw potato juice treatment is considered one of the most victorious biological treatments for rheumatic and arthritic situations.
27. To prevent pimples and blackheads apply grated cucumber on face for 15–20 minutes and see the results.
28. Tomatoes, being rich in the antioxidant lycopene, can lower your risk of atherosclerosis (causing your arteries to narrow and harden) by 50%.
29. Using orange peel has also been found very useful for treating acne. Pound the orange skin with water and apply to acne affected areas. Two vitamins specifically, niacin and vitamin A have been used effectively to treat acne. This rehabilitation should be continued for a month.
30. When coming from the sun and you are feeling hot, don’t rush into the bathroom to shower but rest a while before shower because it will make you feel weak.
31. When cooking rice, let it cool down and then heat it again. Repeat it 2–3 times to convert more starch into resistant starch.
32. When you are trying to quit smoking, avoid eating too many sweet vegetables like peas and corn as they can increase your craving.
33. Whenever possible, eat cooked/steamed carrots instead of raw ones. Cooking breaks down the tough cell walls, releasing beta–carotene
34. Whenever the desire to smoke overpowers you, you should eat something salty or lick a little salt with the tip of your tongues.
35. Women should include lot of calcium rich food like cabbage, fish, and mitts in their diet as they are more susceptible to osteoporosis (bone deformation).
