2. Attend every class and copy every note with your own writing.
3. Study your lecturers and note the areas of their emphasis.
4. Note every questions asked in the class.
5. Do every quiz and assignments.
6. NEVER submit an assignment until you have a copy with you because every assignment question is a potential test or examination question.
7. Do not allow a day to pass by until you have read what you have been taught.
8. While reading imagine every possible ways that questions can be set and set as many questions as possible for yourself. If you intelligently set these questions, you will discover at the end of the day about 70% of the test or examination questions will be from your own questions.
9. Do not just read, learn to study, understand and retain all that you have read.
10. Summarize everything you have read on a separate sheet after reading. Reading without summary is like eating without drinking water.
11. After reading, teach someone so that you can know it better.
12. Do not force yourself to read for long hours at a stretch. Understand your body system; know your level of assimilation, also note the best and convenient time for you to study.
13. Do not be too big to take corrections even if it is from an inferior person.
14. Understand yourself and stop imitating others because imitation is limitation.
15. Do not go to night class because your friends are going. You can maximize your day and rest at night.
16. Be disciplined! Learn to invest your time wisely and do not sleep for more than six (6) hours per day.
17. Do not study when you are hungry, because a hungry man is an angry man.
18. Do not study after being over fed. Heavy food is not recommended for nights that you want to study.
19. Do not eat late at night.
20. Do not over—feed yourself with your favourite food and say you don’t want to sleep. For example, taking tea at night will make you sleep.
21. In examination condition, do not be in haste to answer questions to avoid mistakes. Fill your information (write your name, matriculation number, department, course code etc.) on the answer booklet before answering any question. Strictly follow every instruction and make sure you answer the required questions.
22. Work when you need to work and Pray when you need to pray. There is time for everything (Ecc. 3:1—13).
