Pastor Faith Oyedepo: Monday July 27, 2015 Daily Devotional – A Living Witness

Topic: A Living Witness [Monday July 27, 2015]

“For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?” -1 Corinthians 7:16

Some marriages are confronted with having to balance their relationship at home with their new found faith. There are quite a number of people who tend to hide their spiritual status from their spouses therefore, because they feel he or she might not be able to deal with their changes in lifestyle, appearances and/ or conduct.

However, you must understand that your primary responsibility after the salvation of your soul is to get your loved ones saved. Failure to do so will make your relationship with them as a thorn in your flesh. The truth is that you will either find yourself consciously or unconsciously withdrawing from them, or being lured in to join them.

Yes, when it comes to salvation, a person decides whether or not to accept Him; although, diligence in love, on your part, to bring a loved one to Him, always facilitates a positive response. You can pray them into giving their souls to God and you can also feed them with the Word of God. Your speech, character, and attitude of love and care can win them over faster than you think.

You are the only bible that many read. So, if you profess to your spouse about your renewed life in Christ, your actions towards your spouse must also convince him or her of that change. With your godly attitude, coupled with prayers and Words of faith for his or her salvation, you are sure to encounter victory at the end. Therefore, do not watch your unbelieving spouse or family member perish without salvation; reach out to him or her today in love.

Remain Blessed!
