Topic: Prayer of Agreement [Monday July 13, 2015]
“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.”-Matthew 18:19
Nowhere can a prayer of agreement work faster, than in marriage. That is why when a couple sincerely with one faith asks for a particular thing from God, He honours that request with speed. A prayer of agreement means that both husband and wife want the same thing, at a set time and have the faith that God will do it when they ask in prayers.
When two people are in agreement, they stand on the same word. When one person is in doubt of the outcome of their prayer, they are not in agreement anymore. Agreeing with your spouse concerning any issue is one cheap way of getting answers from God. Remember the Bible says: “A house divided against itself cannot stand.”
Oh, how I wish couples just abide by this; many things they spend time fasting about would not even be. My husband tells the story of when we both were praying for the next place of assignment; the place which God revealed, still in prayer, as Kaduna, “the land of persecution,” as at that time.
If we were not in agreement, he could have missed it; as we would have been a house divided. So, you don’t need to pray in isolation concerning that promotion or any other issue. Come together as a family, because there is more energy in synergy. The force of your prayer and that of your spouse would bring you the result you expect with speed, especially if it is as promised in the Word of God. Marriage is for the advancement of every area of your life, use it wisely.
Remain Blessed!
