Mr Adegboyega Awomolo S.A.N, who was the Chairman at the occasion, stated this in message at the wedding reception of Yejide Makanjuola and Tayo Awoniyi, held at the City Park Wuse, 2 Abuja.
Mr Awomolo described women as very strong creatures, called on husbands to strive to always provide the needs of their wives, and appealed to husbands to always show love to their wives.
The legal luminary, also tasked wives to be submissive to their husbands as heads over them, asked wives to constantly pray for their husbands and show them care and attention, disclosed that when men are happy, the make good husbands.
Mr Awomolo, congratulated the couple for their union, urged parents to painstakingly show more concern in the growth and development of their children towards becoming productive and responsible citizens.
My Awomolo tasked the new couple to build on the exemplary lifestyles of their parents whom he disclosed have lived fulfilled lives, prayed to God to continue to rest the soul of Late Sunday Awoniyi of blessed memory.
Mr Awomolo, prayed God to grant the couple a successful marriage life filled with God's abundance blessings.
In a sermon at the church service, Rev Dr Barje Maigida, of ECWA Church Wuse, 2 Abuja, described marriage as institution of God that cannot be compromised by man's ideas and thoughts, urged couples to always hold on to doctrines of God regarding marriage.
The clergyman appealed to couples in marriage to see the institution as for better and for worse, but urged for God's prayers at all times and in all circumstances for a successful marriage life.
In their separate remarks , Engr Tayo and Mrs Moji Makanjuola, parents of the bride described the wedding as a precious moment and the beginning of a new life for the married couple, prayed God to bless the union.
In her remarks, Mrs Benedicta Awoniyi, mother of the groom, urged the couple to always allow love be the foundation of their marriage, described patience and understanding as factors the couple need to hold onto for a successful union, prayed God to bless the union with blessings of marriage.
Highlights of the wedding ceremony was the presentation of the Holy Bible to the couple by the ECWA Church as well as the cutting of the wedding cake by the couple. Mrs Titi Atiku, wife of former Vice President and several other dignitaries from all works of life from Kogi and Kwara State's graced the occasion and wished the couple a happy union.
