Let Wada's massive investment influence your votes


People of Lokoja Local Government Area have been asked to allow the massive investment by the Present administration of Capt Idris Wada, in the state capital to influence how they vote in the November Governorship election.

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi stated this while speaking at Abugi, in Kupa district of Lokoja LGA.

Awoniyi listed the massive investment in the housing, roads sectors, the trailer park, Kabawa embankment and remodeling of Kogi Hotels, as some efforts by the administration to improve the landscape of the area.

Awoniyi added that the on going work at the diagnostic centre, completion of inherited greater water works, stadium, confluence beach hotel and the second phase of the state secretariat projects are some of the administrations commitment to ensuring that the state capital wears a new look.

The Deputy Governor said aside the building of hostels and the Nigerian Korean Vocational Centre at the state polytechnic, other projects like the remodeling of the stella obasanjo square, the lokoja township stadium are government's few efforts at improving the socio economic share of the state capital.

While noting that at the last count projects worth over N25billion are simultaneously ongoing in Lokoja LGA, said an overwhelming vote for the return of Capt Idris Wada for another term in office, would spur him to do more for the area.

While noting that the area has also enjoyed from the human capital development of the Wada administration, the area Awoniyi explains stands to gain more in appointment if the governor is reelected.

While commending the people of Lokoja LGA for their support to the administration of Capt Wada, Awoniyi appealed for the area to deliver massively their votes for the governor, said the large turn out by residents of Abugi, to receive the governor and their pledged to vote the PDP candidate in the governorship election, underscores the areas resolve to ensure development witnessed in the state in the last three and half years.

Awoniyi described a vote for Capt Wada as a vote for forward movement, said this is not a time to go backward in development as the people of Lokoja, he noted cannot afford to look back when every indication points to the fact that Capt Wada is the most proffered, the best option and remains a rallying point to meeting the aspiration of people of the area.
