Topic: Don’t let him in! [Saturday 31 October, 2015]

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”-John 10:10

People usually attribute the crisis in homes to incompatibility, but it is actually satanwho is behind every stress, woe, quarrel, fight and disagreement in the home. He is usually against beautiful things. So, every time he sees happiness in a family, he tries to create discord that will bring separations.

Satan’s mission of stealing, killing and destroying is first targeted towards the home. He would do anything or pay any price to shatter homes. Quite a number, even in the church, are victims of these satanic manipulations against families today. That is why you find couples who just finished calling themselves sweet names, turn around to physically pounce on each other.

The truth is: If you can close the door to every satanic influence in your home, you would be guaranteed total peace. To counter the activities of satan against your family, you need to recognize that God primarily wants you to live in peace and the stealer of this peace is the devil. Stop playing ignorance to his devises; outsmart him by committing yourself to every instruction of the Word of God over marriage.

Don’t let satan suggest to you alternatives to submission to your husband or loving your wife. Be determined to follow God’s Word to the letter, because in doing that you are driving the devil far away from you. Any time you sense any animosity rising within you against your spouse, know that satan is seeking an entrance. Therefore, resist him steadfastly in faith, by fleeing every appearances of evil. The devil will have no foothold in your family in the name of Jesus Christ!
