Everything God Almighty created is good and very good. While one is beneficial, the other can be unfavorable. For instance, the day (light) is to the advantage of the sons of men to engage in physical activities while it's may not be helpful to evil doers because they cannot do their evil works. But while men use the night as a time to rest from their daily routine, the evil doers see it as a time to execute their evil works. Darkness is associated with all kinds of evil works, hence, Jesus said, "But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way". Matt 13:25.

Notice that today’s scripture doesn’t say, “Let the redeemed of the Lord think so.” Or, “Let the redeemed believe so.” Of course, it’s important to think right and believe right, but something supernatural happens when we open our mouths and declare a thing. You don’t even have to say it to anyone else. You can just say it to yourself—driving to work or in the shower— say, “The economy may be low, but I am blessed. I am prosperous. I will lend and not borrow.” “I may have had some setbacks, but I know those setbacks are a setup for a comeback! This is still going to be my best year so far. The favor of God is turning things around.” You are prophesying your future.

This verse has often been used to support the misconception that Jesus and His disciples lived in poverty. However, in this instance, the fact that Jesus had nowhere to lay His head was because of persecution. The Samaritans, because of a religious prejudice, had just refused Him hospitality and a place to stay as He journeyed to Jerusalem. Persecution is part of the cost of living a Christian life. Jesus was communicating to this man that not having a place to stay at times was part of that cost.

One of the powers God gave to us his children is the power to either accept or resist. Because God loves us, He can never force anything on us(though He has the power to do that), that would go against the rules of love. And the power of choice was displayed when Joshua told the people to choose whom they will serve as their God and that as for him and his family, they've decided to serve the living God. Jos 24:15.

No matter how wicked a child is, no matter how troublesome a child appears, even if the father runs away to avoid shame, the mother always stay behind to defend her child. Her compassion always hold her back. She thinks about everything, the pains of the nine months and that of delivery. The sleepless nights she experienced while others were sleeping. God bless our mothers, they shall eat the fruit of their Labour in Jesus mighty name. They're the best in the whole wide world.

When you serve God with your senses, you are positioning yourself for serious trouble because you cannot serve God with your senses. The bible says without faith it is impossible to please God. You cannot go too far in your Christian walk outside faith. Children of God shouldn’t serve God with their senses because the natural man does not understand the things of the spirit because they are foolishness to him. He cannot know them because they are spiritually discerned.
