But whatever the case, it is expected that the recipient attach utmost importance to it. The first son in Israel had the birthright.

One of the keys to excellence is consistency. When an individual consistently maintains a high standard over a long period of time, the individual is said to be excellent. A product is termed to be excellent when it delivers a high level of value consistently. There are people or products that deliver excellence in fleeting moments, without consistency. They hit the high, and just fizzle out of circulation. That's not what God has willed us to be. He has willed us to be consistently excellent.

The result was the destruction of our fleet-the cause was tragic indifference. When comfort and ease and pleasure are put ahead of duty and conviction, progress is always set back.

It was very late when we stopped for the night at a country inn outside of Munich. Then we could see what had been grimly shrouded the night before—a completely idyllic scene—peaceful and lush green meadow, sheep grazing with tiny tinkling bells about their necks, and big white clouds in the sky that looked exactly like more sheep—huge, fluffy sheep!

There is always numerous reasons to either do or not to do a particular thing, the choice is ours to choose from. Hebrews 11 is considered the hall of faith. All the Patriarchs recorded in this very verse faced their challenges of life, yet did exploits for God. Some died for their faith. They all had reasons why they should not have followed God all through, they had reasons to have given up, but they ignored whatsoever reasons and pressed on even without receiving what God Almighty promised them.

Our anchor scripture says “a wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.” James 3:6 says of the tongue: “and the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.” Strong words for such a small member. Now what does “wholesome” means. It means promoting health or well being of mind or spirit; sound in body, mind, or morals. This simply tells us that the tongue which is “full of iniquity” can be and should be wholesome.

Earth is sweet to live in, but heaven is sweeter. No matter the pleasure you derive on earth, it's just temporary compared to the everlasting pleasure we shall enjoy with Jesus Christ in heaven. Beloved, the earlier we know and accept that we're strangers on this earth and we shall soon be called to where we came from the better for us. This will help us to have eternity in view, live our lives to please our Maker, not ourselves or the devil. You came from heaven - an ambassador to the earth. God placed you here to show forth His praise and majesty, why would you now turn this place to your home?

He is humble, gentle, meek, and lowly (see Matthew 11:29-30). We are indeed complex creatures. Our mind can think one thing, while our emotions want something else and our will certainly seems to have a mind of its own.

With this, we know that the tongue is a very important organ in the body. But that’s not all. The tongue is also a very important weapon!

Lagos, Nigeria – April, 2017: Guaranty Trust Bank plc has released its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2017 to the Nigerian and London Stock Exchanges.

A review of the results shows positive performance across all financial indices, reaffirming the Bank’s position as one of the most profitable and well managed financial institutions in Nigeria. Gross earnings for the period grew by 39% to ₦104.66billion from ₦75.39billion reported in March 2016; driven primarily by growth in interest income. Profit before tax stood at ₦50.39billion, representing a growth of 64% over ₦30.68billion recorded in the corresponding period of March 2016. The Bank’s loan to customers dipped marginally by 2% from ₦1.591trillion recorded in December 2016 to ₦1.563trillion as at March 2017. Deposit from customers grew marginally by 1% from ₦1.986trillion in December 2016 to ₦2.012trillion in March 2017.

Vocalize Your Self-Critical Thoughts

The primary fuel for insecurities is the critical inner voice people have formed concerning certain area(s) of their lives out of painful or difficult life experiences. You need to learn to vocalize these self-critical thoughts or write them down in the second person, so rather than saying “I’m fat. I’m ugly”, you would instead say, “You’re fat. You’re ugly”. This process will help you separate these vicious attacks by seeing them as an external enemy or force, rather than your real point of view.

When a team set up by the Inspector-General of Police rose in defence of the honour of some slain police officers who were ambushed and gunned down by a notorious robber and kidnapper Endurance Ominisan, alias ‘Mighty,’ the outpouring of emotions was huge and the nation’s outrage at the dastardly act was understandable.

Along with others, the scoundrel had terrorised the Ikorodu area of Lagos State. During one of such encounters they killed four policemen and an Army captain. Obviously, the armed robbers were better equipped. The hoodlums usually have access to more sophisticated arms and ammunition. This is tragic.

Please note, when you say it's not possible, that particular thing remains impossible to you. Because all things are possible to them that believe in the God of possibilities. Many do not believe any can be perfect and righteous as Jesus said in Matt 5:48 because they don't understand how it works. The righteousness of a man the Bible says is like a filthy rag. This is not the righteousness we are talking about. No. Not the righteousness that comes from the law.
