Joel and Victoria Osteen’s daily devotional September 27, 2016 – Brag on Him Today

Today’s Scripture: “The LORD has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.” - (Psalm 118:23, NIV)

Topic: Brag on Him Today [September 27, 2016]

David had a great attitude of faith in this verse. He was declaring the goodness of God and bragging on His faithfulness! We need to always remember that every blessing in life is from God. That promotion, good break, healing or new opportunity—that was God’s doing. Scripture says that every good and perfect gift comes from the Father above.

Back in July, Daimler revealed the Mercedes-Benz Urban eTruck, an all-electric concept vehicle pitched as an alternative to today’s short-range diesel commercial trucks.

That version wasn’t quite ready for prime time, though, as it was just a bare chassis and cab with no bodywork. The completed Urban eTruck debuted at the IAA Commercial Vehicles show in Hannover, Germany, wearing styling that makes it look as sleek and futuristic as a delivery truck possibly could.

Dear Reader,

The marriage of a child is one of the last separation phases parents and children experience. The right approach to it can be to maintain a good relationship afterwards.

That is why as I round off this teaching this week, I will be talking extensively to parents-in-laws. By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, I will be speaking on: Helpful Approach Guidelines!

Five Kinds Of Labour

By Emode Victor
A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: Five Kinds Of Labour. (Pt One) [27/09/16]

And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth. Isaiah 37:3. Read: Isa 37:1-4

The ninth month naturally is the month of delivery for a woman. Labour is usually regarded as a work one does to earn a living. But in this context, we shall be looking at it from a different perspective, we shall look at it from the natural labour of a woman and compare with how it affects our individual life. Bible made mention of many labours, but, we shall consider five kinds. Because this is the month of delivery, you shall deliver in Jesus Name. The LORD will cause you to deliver in the remaining days of this month in Jesus Name. The Labour the Bible mentioned is:

Bureaux de change and the economy

Written by the Editorial Board of The Guardian Newspaper

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) began to issue guidelines for the operation of bureaux de change (BDCs) in 1989. BDCs are licensed to provide “small scale foreign exchange service” by purchasing foreign currency from small holders such as tourists for sale to banks and small end-users. The revised guidelines issued in June 2001 stipulated among other don’ts that the “Foreign exchange excluding Travellers’ Cheques employed by BDCs shall not be sourced from banks operating in Nigeria including Central Bank of Nigeria”.

Do not be quick in spirit to be angry or vexed, for anger and vexation lodge in the bosom of fools. - Ecclesiastes 7:9

There are some things you can control in life—who your friends are, what you eat, and when you go to bed, for example. There are other things you can't control, such as what other people say or the flat tire you got last night. The way you respond to things you can't control helps determine your stress level and your quality of life and health. I have two suggestions about dealing with things you can't control. First, if you can't control them, don't take responsibility for them. And second, I like to say, "Do your best, pray, and let God do the rest!"

Obtaining Rest in the Family (4) by Pastor Faith Oyedepo

So far, we have been able to examine the Place of Rest, Rest in Time of Unrest and Relaxing At Home. Today, we shall be exploring: ‘Maximising Happiness in Your Home’

I want us to see how to get the best of times in our family life. The Bible says: The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear? (Proverbs 18:14). It is joy on the inside that brings out the best in a man. Happiness in your home will bring out the best in your wife, husband and children alike. A sorrowful heart is dangerous because nothing good comes the way of the dejected. God’s Word says: A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones (Proverbs 17:22).

Winning Wisdom: Captain Of The LORD'S Host

By Ese Ehimare Dave
Topic: Captain of The LORD'S Host [27/9/2016]

Text: Joshua 5:13-15

One of the reasons why the Holy Ghost was sent to us is to lead us to claim the victories that Jesus had already won for us, as the Commander or Captain of the LORD'S Host. He is the One Who leads us in our victory parade. Take note that I did not say He leads us into battles. The battles of our lives have been won and lost; Jesus have won the battles of our lives, while the devil lost them all already. So, we are not in a battle anymore, but on a victory charge. Colossians 2:15 confirms this when it says: "and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it."
