The suspects include Aherebe Godday ‘m’, Omajemite Justice ‘m’, Oyubu Ejiro ‘m’ and Lucky Aputu ’m’, aged 46.
A staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in the area, Mr Ajiah Adewale had made a statement to the police in Oghara that gunmen broke into INEC’s office in Oghara and made away with the cards and register.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Celestina Kalu, said based on the report that 6,000 PVCs were stolen, detectives swung into action and arrested the security guards of the commission, adding that the stolen PVCs and a register had been recovered and handed over to INEC.
Kalu said investigation was still on to ensure that all those involved in the crime were brought to book. [Vanguard]
