A three-man Court of Appeal panel sitting in Abuja has upheld the ruling of the gubernatorial election in the state. In a 110-page ruling delivered by Justice M.B. Dongban-Mensem on Wednesday, the Court ruled that the election of Wike did not conform with the Electoral Act at all.
The Appeal Court decided all seven issues raised against Governor Wike in favour of Dakuku Peterside, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The Court ordered INEC to conduct a fresh governorship election in Rivers State within 90 days.
