Topic: Our Responsibility to God's Word [30/08/2016]
Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. 2 Kings 7:1. Read: 2 kings 7:16-20
Our primary responsibility to God's Word after hearing or studying it is to believe it wholeheartedly. No matter how impossible that situation might seem, wisdom and faith (like prophet Ezekiel answered God at the valley of dry bones) is needed to respond to God. When we waver in our faith, we lose our blessings. Like James put it, "For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord". Jas 2:7.
In 2 Kings 6:24-33, the Bible tells us how the Syrians besieged Samaria which led to a great famine (just as Nigeria is experiencing now) in the land that the women began to eat their children for food. When the king of Samaria heard the abomination in the land, he sent for prophet Elisha in which through him God gave a word of wisdom, but the special adviser to the king said to the Man of God, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof. At the end God used four leprous men to fulfill the prophecy. Yours is to believe God's Word and not try to figure out how God will do it. He is a supreme God, He does what He pleases.

* As you believe God's Word, May He bring to pass all He has promised you in Jesus Name
* It shall be well with this Nation in Jesus Name
