Text: 1 Samuel 17:31-37
A look at the life of King David shows he has started displaying leadership qualities from a young age. He was the one in charge of the economy of his family; and when external forces attacked it, he did not shy away from the problems, rather he tackled them and prevailed against them (1 Samuel 17:36-37). One of the hallmarks of a good leader is his ability to fix his attention on solutions, rather than problems, with the knowledge that the contrary will be futile.
The Philistines came up against the Israelites. And the battle was set for just a one-on-one duel of the champions of both sides. While Goliath came out ready for battle, King Saul, the leader and champion of the Israelites, could not come out. No one his troop could muster the courage to face Goliath, but, when David showed up, everything changed. After getting wind of the problem, he set out to proffer the solution as quickly as possible.
He knew he had the Solution in him. He told Goliath, "I have come with the solution to fix you - the challenge of Israel" (1 Samuel 17:45-48 paraphrased). The Solution is in you. You've got the Extraordinary Strategist, the Holy Ghost, with you. Don't dwell on the challenge you are facing. Dwell on the Solution that is in you and that challenge will become bread to you.
Keep winning daily.
PRAYER:
I have got the Holy Ghost in me. He is the Solution to all the challenges that I will face. I focus on and trust Him to proffer all the solutions I would ever need in this life. He ensures my victory always over everything challenges, in Jesus' name. Amen.
