Topic: The Hope Restorer [29/03/2017]
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Luke 4:18. Read: Isa 61:1-3
Jesus Christ is the hope restorer because He is the hope of glory. Col 1:27. Everything about Jesus is hope and change. Whenever you feel all hope is lost and you give Jesus a chance to come in, hope comes alive again. In John 11, Mary and Martha had given up on their brother Lazarus, i.e., their hope was already lost. Even when Jesus told them, take me where you laid him, Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. Jesus actually came to comfort those that mourn and set free the captives of the mighty.
Just when the widow of Nain (who had lost her husband and now her son) thought all hope has been dashed, Jesus stepped in and her hope was restored and sustained. Don't lose hope yet, let Jesus step in now. Call Him now. He is ever present in time of trouble to help if He is called upon. Jesus shall restore your hope because for this purpose He came.
