Winning Wisdom: Fully Clothed 1

Topic: Fully Clothed 1 [Saturday, 4th Mar. 2017]

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11

Life, for a believer is a battlefield. This is because once we accept Christ into our lives we turn our backs on the devil, who goes into battle against us, to get us back. The devil, being cunning, would use anything against us. Both internal and external 'fiery darts'. Knowing this, we have to always be ready to withstand him whenever he attacks. This means we have to be fully clothed for battle.

Everything we need to be fully clothed has been provided for us and in Ephesians 6:14-17 scriptures makes it plain to us. We'll treat some thus:

(1) Bind your loins with truth. The devil is the father of all lies, so be rest assured that whatever he is telling you is a lie to deceive you. So, knowledge of the truth will always come in handy to answer him. John 8:32 says, "and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (2) The breastplate of righteousness. You will not be able to confidently stand against the devil, except you're standing right with God. And this is by accepting Christ as Lord and Saviour, thereby standing in Him. Romans 3:22 says, "even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe..."

(3) Strap your feet with the gospel of peace. The gospel of Christ is the gospel of peace. When you have the true gospel, you'll stand firm and stable. Titus 1:9 says, "holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers." God wants the very best for you, so He has made everything we need to live victorious lives available for us.
Keep winning daily.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for not only caring for my eternal life, but also for my life here on earth. Thank You because in You I'm sure of victory, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
