Topic: My Heart Is Fixed On God [22/09/2016]
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. Psalms 112:7. Read: Heb 12:1-3
Jesus in Matthew 6:21 said, For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Whatsoever you give your attention to you will likely become in life. If you lay your treasure here on earth, your heart would be on earth and you would end on earth, but if your treasure is in heaven, your heart would be there also. Whatever you're going through, whom you focus on to help you will determine whether you will get out of such challenges. Out of pain, David said the above, instead of depending on men for help, he fixed his heart on God to help him. Ps 121:1-2. Those that trust in the Lord for help in the time of trouble never go unanswered and ashamed, in the end they always get what they want. Ps 42:1.
Those that fix their eyes and heart on God praise Him in spite of challenges and pain. Their challenges never determine their mood and they never deny God His praises. My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise. Ps 57:7. When you fix your heart on God in challenging times, He step in to help you. In their chain, Paul and Silas prayed and praised God, suddenly there was an earthquake, the doors were opened and their bands were loosed. Acts 16:25-26. Dare to fix your eyes on God!
