Persecuted, Yet Not Discouraged

Topic: Persecuted, Yet Not Discouraged [28/11/2016]

As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;  6:10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. 2 Corinthians 6:9-10. Read: Acts 8:1-8.

From time immemorial, hatred without cause for God's children has been, but the more they're hated, the more they expand. When a King who knew not Joseph arose in Egypt, he was threatened by the growth of the children of Israel and decided to torment them, the more he tormented them, the more they waxed stronger and mightier, they grew geometrically. Persecution never reduced them, rather they increased. In their affliction and persecution, they were growing rapidly. Ex 1:7-12.

In our world today, persecution of Christians is the order of the day, they're trying so hard to silence the gospel of Jesus. They pass referendum in our houses of assembly and house of lords against the gospel, yet the Church of Jesus is matching forward and the gate of hell (their enactment) cannot stop her. In spite of the persecution among the early Church, they grew stronger and bolder in the things of God. You and I must look away from the persecution if we'll finish well and strong, we must continue to look unto to Jesus the bishop of our soul.

* Father, no matter the persecution, strengthen us (your Church) not to be discouraged in Jesus name.
