Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 2 Timothy 3:12
Persecution is a normal part of our lives as Christian. And every Christian should be prepared for it. Some Christians feel that as long as they are born again, nothing bad or evil should cross their path. Well, sorry to disappoint you, that's not going to happen. Jesus said in John 15:20 - "...the servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also."
Persecution is a normal thing to us, just like the blessings of God. It is part of the package. The world will be hostile to you, as long as you have made up your mind to live godly. Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 3:12 "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." The world will hate us and would want to hurt us because we are Christians. They might deny us of some legitimate things, but we must not be cowed by this.
There is a glory that is awaiting us, if we endure the hardness the world throws at us as good soldiers of Christ (2 Timothy 2:3). Scriptures say in Romans 8:17 - "and if children, then heirs, heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we SUFFER WITH HIM, THAT WE MAY BE ALSO GLORIFIED TOGETHER." So rejoice in persecution, because I reckon that the suffering of our present times are not worthy to be compared to the glory that will be revealed in us (Romans 8:18).
Keep winning daily.
Prayer:
Thank You dear Lord for the persecutions that I am facing and that I will face. I trust You to keep me safe in them and glorify Yourself through them, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
