Dear Reader,
What a date? Tomorrow is Christmas! Merry Christmas in advance! I wish you the joy and excitement that the season offers in Jesus’ mighty name.
Last week, I showed you how submission can be effectively executed by your words and through your actions. Today, I will be unveiling to you what I have titled: Submission Is A Seed!
When maize seeds are sown, a harvest of maize is soon expected. Also, when you sow beans, you expect to reap beans; every natural farmer understands this process. In the same vein, when a woman sows the seed of submission, she stands to reap a bountiful harvest of lifting and honour.
Anchoring from God’s Word, the Bible says: …before honour is humility (Proverbs 15:33). That is, before any man experiences honour in any sphere of life, humility must have been his armour. In essence, this is to bring us to the understanding that there’s a time lag between planting and harvest time, just as there is between humility and honour.
Your seedlings don’t germinate, grow and yield fruits the same day they are planted. Some activities must have been engaged, perhaps on regular basis, between the time of sowing and the time of reaping. Every farmer is expected to patiently tend his crop, water, weed and nurture it, until there’s a bountiful harvest. In the same vein, every woman must sow the seed of submission consistently before she can reap the harvest of love from her husband.
When a woman refuses to acknowledge submission as a seed, and does not sow it to her husband, her children will eventually turn rebel in every way against her, and the outcome is usually disastrous (Genesis 8:22).
One major reason has been proved over time to be why some women hate to submit, and it is called “pride”. The natural man is egocentric. But if you want the glorious harvest of success in your home, self must be dethroned and Jesus enthroned.
Some women find their children, co-workers, subordinates and other people generally rebelling against them. Why? Simply because they have failed to submit to their husbands back at home, so rebellion automatically hunt them around.
Be reminded that when you sow a seed, you reap it back, and in many folds. Pride goes before destruction, but humility exalts. It is, therefore, wisdom to embrace humility!
Prayer, on the other hand, is a more potent force that makes submission cheap to practise. Prayer becomes more effective, when light from the Word gains entrance into the heart. God’s Word says: Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob (Isaiah 41:21).
So, rather than arguing and quarrelling with your husband on any issue of concern, even when you know you are right, go to God in prayer, present your strong reasons, and see things change for good. This prayer power has been a great asset to me, as well as to countless other women.
To believing women who are married to unbelieving men, the above principle is to be strongly considered. You must keep nurturing the seed of submission you have sown in your home, until the man is won to Jesus. Don’t at any point in time get weary of submitting to him, mainly because you are not motivated by his reactions. God’s Word says you will definitely reap that seed of submission you are sowing in due season, if you faint not (Galatians 6:9).
In conclusion, for every woman who genuinely desires success in her marriage, you are admonished to engage the instrument of submission; it works!
To indisputably see submission as a seed and sow it to your husband with the whole of your heart, with the aim of reaping the harvest someday, requires grace from heaven. This grace is only available to those who have totally surrendered their lives to Jesus to shepherd till the end of days.
To surrender your life to Jesus simply means to be born again? If you are yet to be born again, please do so now because tomorrow may just be too late. If you desire this awesome experience, say this prayer of faith: “Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the living God. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.”
If you prayed this simple prayer, you are now a child of God. He loves you and will never leave you. Read your Bible daily, obey God’s Word and seek Christian fellowship (John 14:21).
Congratulations! You are now born again! All-round rest and peace are guaranteed you, in Jesus’ Name. Call or write, and share your testimonies with me through contact@faithoyedepo.org; OR 07026385437 and 08141320204.
