No, I will not abandon you or leave you as orphans in the storm—I will come to you. John 14:18 TLB
The Lord said to us through Isaiah 43:2, "when thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." While it is easy to feel abandoned in the storm of life, while it is normal human reaction to feel dejected and alone when we go through tough times, it is reassuring to read the words of our Lord.
The Lord already anticipated that we are going to go through tough times, He says He won't leave us as orphans in the storms we will face (John 14:18 TLB). The Lord established to us the fact that He will never leave nor forsake us. He going to stick with us through thick and thin. Whether you are having a swell time or things are difficult for you. He is going to be there.
"Tough times don't last but tough people do", says Robert Schuller. The Lord is with us to give us tough skin to go through the storms of life. That is why we will outlive the tough times we are facing. Beloved, do not despair. Don't feel like an orphan. You have a Father Who is always with you. He has pledge to be with you and He sticks to His Word. He says, "...lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen" (Matthew 28:20).
Keep winning daily.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for not leaving me as an orphan in the storms I am facing and will face. Thank you for always being with me. Thank You for helping me grow tough skin to outlive the tough times I am facing and thank You for Your victory, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
