Winning Wisdom: worship part 2

Topic: Worship part 2 [Tuesday, 27th Dec. 2016]

Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive tree fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls....yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be be joyful in God my Saviour Habakkuk. 3:17-18 NIV

Worship is a deliberate act. Many times, we've had people encourage us to take no thought about our needs yet to be met and other unfavourable happenings and focus on the good ones and thank God for them. As good as that is, I want to say that we raise the bar when we dare to give God worship even in the seemingly unpleasant situations.

When we do that, we shift our gaze from whatever situation we are passing through to God Himself. This is true worship. Someone said I would rather used the little strength I have left to praise God than concentrate on my issues.

Whatever challenge we have does not dethrone God and again there isn't a solution elsewhere. The admonition is not that we are superhumans but we are content in His faithfulness as He will not allow His Holy one to see corruption. Psalms 16:10-11

Keep winning daily

Action Point:

Micah 7:7-8 captures the thought:

But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.
Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen ,I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light.
