Topic: Take It To The Cross [29/01/2017]
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18. Read: Col 2:10-15.
The Cross of Christ is the end of all human struggles. The Cross of Christ defeated and put an end to whatever challenges that exist on the face of the earth. Whatsoever that comes face to face with the Cross of Christ does not survive that moment. On the Cross (after Jesus was given vinegar to drink), He shouted, "it's finished" and gave up the ghost. Jn 19:30. To the children of God, as Jesus was being nailed to the Cross, the troubles of the world that could have made us uncomfortable were nailed.
This is why Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid". Jn 14:27. This peace can actually be accessed through the death of Jesus on the Cross. Whatsoever comes to the foot of the Cross never lives to tell the story.
At His Cross, He defeated principalities and powers in high places, He made an open show of them. To the world, the Cross is foolishness and worthless but to genuine Christians, it's the power of God. When you take your weaknesses to the Cross, you get His strength in return. Whatever you lay at the foot of the Cross would always be transformed for a glorious one. The foot of the Cross is where your victory over every struggles lies.
