Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Matthew 5:7. Read: Matt 5:43-48
The Bible says in Lamentations 3:22, It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. Mercy is the nature of God Almighty towards all humans on earth. Psalm 145:9 says, The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. Whether good or bad, His mercy extends to all. It's also through the multitude of His mercies that you were rescued from destruction. Isaiah 54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. This season, His mercies will search you out for His blessings in Jesus name.
In the above scripture, Jesus said, If you want to receive mercy, you too have to be merciful to others that need it. Only then can God's mercy be for you. In order words, whatever you sow you shall reap. Gal 6:7. Showing mercy is not only to those you know or those you are expecting returns from, no, but also to those whom you consider strangers or enemies, they deserve your mercy too. Remember the wicked servant who his master forgave his debts, but he himself refused to forgive his fellow servant that own him. His end result was outer darkness.
