Topic: Over-Busyness - An Enemy of the Anointing [Saturday February 18, 2017]
Scripture: And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Luke 10:41-42.
Thought For The Day: The Anointing of the Holy Spirit cannot settle in a life that is too busy and full of diverse activities.
God delights in man having a steady relationship with Him above every other thing in life. However, many Christians are busy working for the LORD while the LORD of the work is abandoned as was the case with Martha in our anchor scripture today. They are too busy for God; their lives, hearts and minds are too noisy, disorganized, disorderly and full of diverse activities. Many things struggle for their attention, concentration and focus. It might be a business or other kinds of pursuit. In fact, they live lives that are permanently distracted.
Beloved, the anointing of the Holy Spirit cannot settle in a life that is too busy and full of activities. A life with so many competing priorities and focuses is not conducive for the habitation and operation of the Spirit of God.
When a man is encumbered with the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches and the pursuit of other things, it is impossible for the anointing of the Holy Ghost to settle on his life.
Beloved, I counsel you to concentrate your energy on your relationship with God and from the strength of that relationship, you will be catapulted to affect your generation. To be too busy for God is to be too busy for your good.
Remember this: The Anointing of the Holy Spirit cannot settle in a life that is too busy and full of diverse activities.
