A Promise For You From Bible Promises:
Topic: All That Glitters Are Not Gold
And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar. Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan. Genesis 13:10-11
Just because man is short sighted and control by physical glamour, he often fall short and into diverse problems. 1 Cor 13:9. In all man's decisions, he must not trust in himself but acknowledge the potent God to direct his path. Pro. 3:9-10. Man will always fall into error when he tries to chose by himself because there are many things that appears beautiful and wonderful outwardly which are not actually as they appeared. As a young man/woman, don't chose your life partner by yourself, seek God that knows the heart of every man to help you. Don't chose because of riches, educational background, beautiful face, those things can fade away tomorrow. Don't reject anyone because of now, look into the future of that person. If prophet Samuel could made mistake in recognizing the Lord's chosen, then who is man to chose himself. 1 Sam. 16:6-7. All that glitters now might not glitter tomorrow and all that is not glittering now might glitter tomorrow.
Lot was given the option to choose between glittering and non-glittering land, he choose the one that was glittering and at the end, he lost everything to fire - including his lovely wife. This will not be your portion in Jesus name.
* Today, allow God to make that decision for you.
