It was gathered that the ex-Barcelona man recently told a friend he would be keen on the position which is sacred to Wenger.
However, it’s yet to be known if Arsenal will be willing to land the Spaniard who has confirmed he’s leaving Bayern Munich for the Premier League next season.
Manchester City are in pole position to get him, but some have tipped to Arsenal’s to pull off a miracle and land Guardiola at the end of the season.
Guardiola will leave his role at Bayern Munich in 2016 with Italian tactician Carlo Ancelotti already announced as his replacement.
The coach has won 19 titles as coach with both Barcelona and Bayern.
